Confidentiality in tax advice

Your practice is bound by professional secrecy under § 57 StBerG. Under § 62a StBerG, service providers who may gain insight into client secrets must be bound to confidentiality. Hosting, data storage and knowledge search are in Germany; the AI language model, speech recognition and speech output partly run at providers outside the EU, including the USA. Recording and WhatsApp are off by default for tax advisers. Whether Marco is suitable for your practice is something we discuss with you before going live. Please also have it checked by your chamber or a data protection adviser.

No. Marco takes requests, books appointments and notes callbacks. He gives no assessment of tax questions or tax assessments.

Does Marco accept documents?

Not on the phone. He explains from your checklist which documents a client should bring.

Are calls recorded?

For tax advisers recording is off by default. If you switch it on, the caller hears a notice first.
